A NYC estimate for a dog this size and coat. Excludes the adoption fee and anything unexpected.
Marble is an incredibly sweet, adorable baby girl dog. She seems to be fully house trained - she has had no accidents inside the house during the 5 days we have had her. She is very gentle and sweet. She loves belly rubs and licking her family members to show love. She does really well in a crate - she goes in with no issue, and does not whine or cry when left in there. She likes to be around people, but is also fine sleeping on a couch by herself. She is still getting used to the noise of NYC - she is not a huge fan of the loud sounds - but she is getting better. She seems good with other dogs on leash. She tends to be a little fearful and shy, but nothing serious. She is on some medication that appears to be making her less hungry than normal. She already knows how to sit, and we taught her "down" in just a few days. She sleeps in her crate perfectly overnight Marble is approximately 1y 0m 11d old and is fully grown at 34 pounds. They are microchipped and up to date on all age-appropriate medical care. Their breed is unknown as we have not had a DNA test done. Although our dogs are listed as unknown breed, buildings with specific dog restrictions typically enforce their rules based on what breeds a dog appears to resemble. It's always important to keep that in mind and know your building's policies before adopting a dog. This dog is available for adoption through Muddy Paws Rescue. If you're interested in adopting, the first thing you should do is begin the registration process at www.muddypawsrescue.org. This dog's breed isn't known, so here's general guidance for mixes.
🧠 Temperament
She is very gentle and sweet. Every dog is an individual — temperament depends far more on this dog's history and personality than on breed.
🎾 Exercise
Most adult dogs do well with 30-60 minutes of walking a day plus play and sniffing time.
✂️ Grooming
Brush regularly, bathe as needed, keep nails trimmed and ears clean.
🏙️ In a NYC apartment
She does really well in a crate - she goes in with no issue, and does not whine or cry when left in there. Ask the rescue about leash manners, elevator and stair comfort, alone-time tolerance, and whether the dog settles in a small space.
