A NYC estimate for a dog this size and coat. Excludes the adoption fee and anything unexpected.
Fully grown at about 8 lbs.
Hi I'm Neevie, and I'm so itty bitty. I'm part dog, part llama. I'm pretty shy initially, but I warm up pretty easily. I'm pretty quiet and easy going. I love walking and exploring the neighborhood along with snuggling with my foster mama while she works. I absolutely love having my person's attention and I love playing with other pups. I've met other dogs that are my size and a little bigger and I love them so much. I follow my foster mama everywhere, and I especially love when she gets my food ready for me. I have a very healthy appetite. I'm learning how to use the stairs. They are a little hard, but, if you give me some snacks, I'm confident enough to try. Neves is approximately 3y 8m 17d old and is fully grown at 8 pounds. They are microchipped and up to date on all age-appropriate medical care. Their breed is unknown as we have not had a DNA test done. Although our dogs are listed as unknown breed, buildings with specific dog restrictions typically enforce their rules based on what breeds a dog appears to resemble. It's always important to keep that in mind and know your building's policies before adopting a dog. This dog is available for adoption through Muddy Paws Rescue. If you're interested in adopting, the first thing you should do is begin the registration process at www.muddypawsrescue.org. If you are already a registered adopter with Muddy Paws Rescue, please email us at adoptionmeetings@muddypawsrescue.org.
This dog's breed isn't known, so here's general guidance for mixes.
🧠 Temperament
I'm pretty shy initially, but I warm up pretty easily. Every dog is an individual — temperament depends far more on this dog's history and personality than on breed.
🎾 Exercise
Most adult dogs do well with 30-60 minutes of walking a day plus play and sniffing time.
✂️ Grooming
Brush regularly, bathe as needed, keep nails trimmed and ears clean.
🏙️ In a NYC apartment
It's always important to keep that in mind and know your building's policies before adopting a dog. Ask the rescue about leash manners, elevator and stair comfort, alone-time tolerance, and whether the dog settles in a small space.
