Hi, I'm Sarabi! I'm a gentle little lady with a big heart, a calm demeanor, and absolutely no interest in causing unnecessary chaos. I've heard that's unusual for a puppy, but I prefer to think of myself as mature beyond my years. I can be a little shy at first, but I'm coming out of my shell more and more every day! I've only been in my foster home for a short time, and I've already mastered the most important skill: finding the comfiest spot on the couch. Ideally, that's curled up next to my foster mom or my much bigger foster sister. I absolutely adore her! I'm not quite brave enough to play with her yet, but I follow her everywhere and shower her with kisses. I'm hoping she gets the hint that we're best friends. I'm also an excellent work-from-home colleague. I don't schedule unnecessary meetings, I respect office hours, and I'm perfectly happy snoozing in my bed next to the desk or quietly entertaining myself with my toys. That's not to say I'm completely innocent. I have been known to relocate the occasional shoe without permission, but the moment my foster mom tells me to stop, I listen. Apparently, this is called being a good girl. I'm a natural. When we venture out into the world, I seem to make quite the impression. Everyone we meet tells my foster mom how sweet and lovely I am. I don't like to brag, but I do have a certain quiet charm. While other puppies are busy bouncing off the walls, I'm more interested in making friends, taking in my surroundings, and enjoying the occasional cuddle. At the end of the day, I'm just a sweet little soul with a whole lot of love to give. I don't need much to be happy — a cozy couch, a few toys, and someone to call my own. I'm ready to be someone's loyal little shadow, professional cuddle companion, and very best friend. If you're looking for a gentle, loving pup who will adore you with her whole heart, I think we might be perfect for each other. Just don't leave your shoes unattended. Sarabi is approximately 0y 2m 29d old and is fully grown at 14.5 pounds. They are microchipped and up to date on all age-appropriate medical care. Their breed is unknown as we have not had a DNA test done. Although our dogs are listed as unknown breed, buildings with specific dog restrictions typically enforce their rules based on what breeds a dog appears to resemble. It's always important to keep that in mind and know your building's policies before adopting a dog. This dog is available for adoption through Muddy Paws Rescue. If you're interested in adopting, the first thing you should do is begin the registration process at www.muddypawsrescue.org. If you are already a registered adopter with Muddy Paws Rescue, please email us at adoptionmeetings@muddypawsrescue.org.

Mixed / Unknown breed

This dog's breed isn't known, so here's general guidance for mixes.

🧠 Temperament

I'm a gentle little lady with a big heart, a calm demeanor, and absolutely no interest in causing unnecessary chaos. Every dog is an individual — temperament depends far more on this dog's history and personality than on breed.

🎾 Exercise

Most adult dogs do well with 30-60 minutes of walking a day plus play and sniffing time.

✂️ Grooming

Brush regularly, bathe as needed, keep nails trimmed and ears clean.

🏙️ In a NYC apartment

I don't like to brag, but I do have a certain quiet charm. Ask the rescue about leash manners, elevator and stair comfort, alone-time tolerance, and whether the dog settles in a small space.
