A NYC estimate for a dog this size and coat. Excludes the adoption fee and anything unexpected.
About 5 lbs now and still growing — this breed usually reaches 30–45 lbs.
Hi guys, Teeny here. Don’t let my name fool you though, I may be tiny in name and stature, but I have a big personality. I’m outgoing and I like to be included in things that are going on around the house, so I may lay on top of your feet while you do dishes, or assist you with other tasks by following you around. I’m a little guy and us little guys have to make sure we’re heard. I like to use my voice if I like or don’t like something and when I want attention, or a little extra smackrel of food. But don’t worry, I’m not a habitual yapper- just a strategic one. Teeny is approximately 0y 3m 28d old and may be 20 to 26 pounds when fully grown. They are microchipped and up to date on all age-appropriate medical care. Their breed is unknown as we have not had a DNA test done. Although our dogs are listed as unknown breed, buildings with specific dog restrictions typically enforce their rules based on what breeds a dog appears to resemble. It's always important to keep that in mind and know your building's policies before adopting a dog. This dog is available for adoption through Muddy Paws Rescue. If you're interested in adopting, the first thing you should do is begin the registration process at www.muddypawsrescue.org. If you are already a registered adopter with Muddy Paws Rescue, please email us at adoptionmeetings@muddypawsrescue.org.
This dog's breed isn't known, so here's general guidance for mixes.
🧠 Temperament
Don’t let my name fool you though, I may be tiny in name and stature, but I have a big personality. Every dog is an individual — temperament depends far more on this dog's history and personality than on breed.
🎾 Exercise
Most adult dogs do well with 30-60 minutes of walking a day plus play and sniffing time.
✂️ Grooming
Brush regularly, bathe as needed, keep nails trimmed and ears clean.
🏙️ In a NYC apartment
It's always important to keep that in mind and know your building's policies before adopting a dog. Ask the rescue about leash manners, elevator and stair comfort, alone-time tolerance, and whether the dog settles in a small space.
