This handsome boy is affectionate, loyal, and happiest when he is near his people. Arlo deserves a family who will show him patience, kindness, and all the love he has been missing. After a difficult start, he is more than ready for his happily ever after. All dogs will be altered, microchipped, and receive age-appropriate vaccines prior to adoption. 🧠 Temperament
Despite everything he has endured, Arlo has held onto his sweet, gentle spirit and is ready to finally experience what it means to be loved. Friendly, people-focused and famously food-motivated, which makes training straightforward.
🎾 Exercise
High needs — 60-90 minutes daily. Labs love retrieving and swimming, and an under-exercised Lab tends to get mouthy and destructive.
✂️ Grooming
Short double coat that sheds heavily year-round and more in spring and fall. Weekly brushing helps a lot.
🏙️ In a NYC apartment
Can do well in an apartment if genuinely exercised. Size and shedding are the main constraints; most are elevator- and crowd-tolerant.
