Meet Breaker Breaker is a little boy with a big future ahead of him, and we cannot wait for him to find the family who will make that future beautiful. Breaker and his four siblings, Apex, Calyx, Nyx, and Sora, were dropped off by the police at a shelter in Mississippi. Sadly, their mama was not found, and these five puppies were left to begin life without her by their side. Their beginning may not have been what we would have wished for them, but we are determined to help give them the happy endings they deserve. Breaker is still just a puppy, with so much of the world left to discover. He deserves the chance to learn, play, explore, and grow up surrounded by people who will love him unconditionally. He deserves a family who will be there for the silly puppy antics, the sleepy cuddles, the training milestones, and all the little moments that make sharing your life with a dog so special. We hope Breaker's next chapter begins with a family who sees him not just as an adorable puppy, but as a lifelong companion who deserves a commitment through every stage of life. This little boy's story is only beginning. Please help us make sure it is filled with love. Please remember that adoption bios are only a snapshot of each animal. They are meant to give you a glimpse into their personality and story, but there is so much more to learn. Please reach out to our Adoption Team for additional information about Breaker and to learn if he may be the right fit for your home. All dogs will be altered, microchipped, and receive age-appropriate vaccines prior to adoption. Interested in fostering or adopting? Need more info on this dog? 🧠 Temperament
They are meant to give you a glimpse into their personality and story, but there is so much more to learn. Mixed-breed dogs pull traits from several lines, which often means fewer breed-linked health problems and a temperament best judged by meeting the dog.
🎾 Exercise
Depends on the individual. A daily walk plus play is the baseline; ask the foster how the dog behaves after a quiet day.
✂️ Grooming
Varies with coat type. Short coats need little; longer or double coats need regular brushing.
🏙️ In a NYC apartment
Mixes are often excellent city dogs. Building breed restrictions are usually enforced on what a dog looks like, so ask the rescue how the dog is typically identified.
