Meet Clyde — the handsome love bug with a heart full of sweetness. Affectionate, gentle, and impossible not to adore, Clyde has a way of brightening every moment just by being near. He came to us from Mississippi after the shelter there could no longer care for him, putting him at risk. We stepped in and gave him the second chance he deserved, and now he’s safe and ready to start his next chapter. Clyde is looking for a family who will cherish him for the lovable boy he is. If you’re searching for a loyal, snuggly companion with looks and heart to match, Clyde is your guy. Please consider adopting him and giving him the forever home he’s been hoping for. All dogs will be altered, microchipped, and receive age-appropriate vaccines prior to adoption. Please note that the listed location for this dog may not be accurate due to technical limitations of this database and we have transportation options available within 6 hours of NYC (so don't let location hold you back)! 🧠 Temperament
Affectionate, gentle, and impossible not to adore, Clyde has a way of brightening every moment just by being near. Friendly, people-focused and famously food-motivated, which makes training straightforward.
🎾 Exercise
High needs — 60-90 minutes daily. Labs love retrieving and swimming, and an under-exercised Lab tends to get mouthy and destructive.
✂️ Grooming
Short double coat that sheds heavily year-round and more in spring and fall. Weekly brushing helps a lot.
🏙️ In a NYC apartment
Can do well in an apartment if genuinely exercised. Size and shedding are the main constraints; most are elevator- and crowd-tolerant.
