My name is Wally. I am a male, brown Pit Bull Terrier mix. I have been at the shelter since Jun 24, 2026. Hi, I’m Wally ?? I’m a 5-month-old pit bull puppy with a big smile, a bigger heart, and enough enthusiasm to power a small city. Seriously, I love everything. People? Amazing. Dogs? Amazing. Toys? Amazing. Snacks? Incredible. As far as I’m concerned, everyone I meet is a potential best friend, and I see no reason not to greet life with maximum excitement. I’m still just a puppy, which means I have lots of growing, learning, and adventuring ahead of me. I’d love a family that will teach me tricks, take me on outings, play games with me, and help me become the very best dog I can be. While I’m making the most of shelter life, I’d much rather be spending my days curled up on a couch, chewing on toys, earning treats, and learning all about what it means to be part of a family. I’ll be honest—I know being a pit bull can make things harder. There are a lot of misconceptions about dogs like me, and sometimes wonderful pit bulls get overlooked simply because of their breed. But if you spend even five minutes with me, I think you’ll see what the shelter staff already know. I’m not a stereotype. I’m just Wally. A goofy, happy, affectionate puppy who wants friends, fun, and a family to love. Wally is hoping someone will look past the label and see the sweet puppy underneath. He’d really love to grow up in a home instead of a shelter ????? Wally is neutered, dewormed, microchipped and is up to date with vaccines. His adoption fee is $500.00, plus $8.50 for the dog license if you are a resident of NYC. Wally will also get one free exam with one of our participating veterinarians within 30 days of his adoption. If you'd like to meet him please visit, we're conveniently located in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn near the F train (Ft Hamilton Pkwy) and the B16 bus. We're open daily for adoptions from 11am to 5:30pm. Waly can't wait to meet you!
