This cutie patootie was rescued from San Jacinto Shelter. She was dropped off at the shelter as a "stray". No one ever claimed her, so we scooped her up. Bernice is little. She weighs only 18 pounds. Her foster parents are crazy about her. They have a few other frenchies and Bernice is everyone's pal. She does well in a home environment and just pretty much fit in to their routine. She was guesstimated to be around 3 years old. All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Our dogs are in foster homes which enables us to learn more about them in a home environment. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. An application, adoption fee and contract are required. Please direct all questions to adopt@crdogrescue.com. All our dogs can be met with an approved application. Thank you for looking at a rescue dog for your next family member.

French Bulldog

🧠 Temperament

Comic, affectionate and people-oriented. Frenchies want to be with you constantly and are usually easygoing with strangers and other dogs.

🎾 Exercise

Low — two or three short walks and some indoor play. They tire quickly.

✂️ Grooming

Short coat is easy, but facial folds need regular cleaning to prevent infection.

🏙️ In an LA apartment

Near-ideal apartment dog: small, quiet and low-exercise. The serious caveat is breathing — flat faces make them dangerously heat-intolerant, so summer walks must be early, short and shaded. Expect higher vet costs.
