Caramel was rescued from a high impound shelter in Kern County. She was surrendered to the shelter by her owner. Caramel is a typical, wiggle butt, how many plushies can she fit in her mouth kind of golden. I highly suggest that she be the only dog in the house because she can be bossy and dominate with dogs. She will equally play with them too. We are guessing she is around 3 years old and weighs 66 pounds. All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Our dogs are in foster homes which enables us to learn more about them in a home environment. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. An application, adoption fee and contract are required. Please direct all questions to adopt@crdogrescue.com. All our dogs can be met with an approved application. Thank you for looking at a rescue dog for your next family member.
🧠 Temperament
Gentle, eager to please and highly social. Goldens generally love strangers, children and other dogs, and dislike being left alone for long stretches.
🎾 Exercise
60-90 minutes daily plus mental work. They thrive on fetch and training games.
✂️ Grooming
Long double coat needs brushing several times a week and sheds a lot.
🏙️ In an LA apartment
Manageable in a city if exercised well. Their sociability suits busy sidewalks and dog runs.
