Scottie has a way of making life feel a little calmer. He’s the kind of dog who’s simply happy to be by your side, and his steady, gentle presence makes home feel complete. In his foster home, he’s proven himself to be the easiest companion. His foster describes him as “the calmest, sweetest dog,” happy to take each day as it comes. He loves people, adores kids, and greets both familiar and new faces with quiet friendliness. He’s great with other dogs and comfortable around cats, playful when the moment calls for it but never over the top. On leash, Scottie is an easy walking partner, happy to stroll along at your side. His energy level is right in the middle: he enjoys walks and a bit of playtime, then is more than content to settle in for a nap. He’s partially house trained and is still learning not to mark indoors, so he’ll do best with someone willing to patiently reinforce his good habits. Scottie would thrive with someone who’s home much of the time, whether retired, semi-retired, or working from home, where he can be the loyal sidekick he was born to be. He’d be just as happy as your one and only or sharing his home with other calm, friendly pets. This dog's breed isn't known, so here's general guidance for mixes.
🧠 Temperament
He’d be just as happy as your one and only or sharing his home with other calm, friendly pets. Every dog is an individual — temperament depends far more on this dog's history and personality than on breed.
🎾 Exercise
His energy level is right in the middle: he enjoys walks and a bit of playtime, then is more than content to settle in for a nap. Most adult dogs do well with 30-60 minutes of walking a day plus play and sniffing time.
✂️ Grooming
Brush regularly, bathe as needed, keep nails trimmed and ears clean.
🏙️ In an LA apartment
He loves people, adores kids, and greets both familiar and new faces with quiet friendliness. Ask the rescue about leash manners, elevator and stair comfort, alone-time tolerance, and whether the dog settles in a small space.
