Griz is a shy, sensitive boy with a gentle soul who bonds deeply with his people. He shows love through head bumps and quiet companionship, and is happiest just being near you. He’s an introvert at heart—he enjoys his space, loves relaxing in his kennel, and can be easily spooked (even a falling leaf can startle him). But outside, he lights up. Griz lives for his walks and loves hikes, exploring, and running alongside his human. He’s very food-motivated and enjoys structure and routine. He also has a goofy, silly side—he’ll make you laugh, sometimes loves a good belly rub, is a big fan of swimming, and absolutely LOVES apples. Griz is looking for an adult-only home with an experienced handler. He needs to be the only pet, where he can feel safe and not have to share space or resources. He is very loyal and protective of his people and thrives in a calm, predictable environment.

Short double coat that sheds heavily year-round and more in spring and fall. Weekly brushing helps a lot.

He shows love through head bumps and quiet companionship, and is happiest just being near you. Can do well in an apartment if genuinely exercised.
