Iris was part of a confiscation by animal services. 8 siblings were impounded in a high kill shelter. They were held for 4 months. We rescued 2 when they were 8 months old. The pups are amazing. Considering they are all deaf with impaired hearing. They actually are pretty normal dogs. Iris is thriving in her foster home. Once she gets comfortable, she just blossoms. She weighed 21 lb when she was impounded, and left weighing 40 pounds. She is a very fun and happy girl now, and will require someone who wants to work with her and show her the ropes of life. All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Our dogs are in foster homes which enables us to learn more about them in a home environment. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. An application, adoption fee and contract are required. Herding-type dogs are typically bright, biddable and attentive to their person, with a tendency to be watchful and sometimes reactive to fast movement.

Trainability helps a lot in the city. Socialize early to bikes, scooters and crowds.
