Shasta and her friend Phoebe were picked up by animal control when they were notified by the neighbor that the owner died and no-one was caring for the animals left on the property. Shasta is a very sweet and fun girl. She is between 2-3 years old and weighs 63 pounds. She was an outdoor dog and is learning that life indoors is also a great thing. She loves other dogs and is active, so would do best in a family that would continually socialize her and take her on adventures. All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Our dogs are in foster homes which enables us to learn more about them in a home environment. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. An application, adoption fee and contract are required. Please direct all questions to adopt@crdogrescue.com. All our dogs can be met with an approved application. Thank you for looking at a rescue dog for your next family member.
🧠 Temperament
Shasta is a very sweet and fun girl. Gentle, eager to please and highly social.
🎾 Exercise
She loves other dogs and is active, so would do best in a family that would continually socialize her and take her on adventures. 60-90 minutes daily plus mental work.
✂️ Grooming
Long double coat needs brushing several times a week and sheds a lot.
🏙️ In an LA apartment
Shasta and her friend Phoebe were picked up by animal control when they were notified by the neighbor that the owner died and no-one was caring for…. Manageable in a city if exercised well.
