Meet Vivi from the Land Rover litter, one of six puppies who came to us with their mom, Honor, after a family in El Cajon who couldn't keep them. Thanks to fosters, we were able to step in to help. She's about 12 weeks old now and weighs 8 pounds, and we're estimating she'll land somewhere around 25 to 30 pounds as an adult, best guess. She's probably a lab / cocker spaniel mix, black with a white cross marking on her chest, and she's the one who takes in a new room or a new person before deciding what happens next, ears sticking straight out to the sides like little wings while she works it all out. Vivi is curious and observant, but that watchfulness doesn't slow her down much, she warms up to new people fast and loses her mind over squeaky toys. She's doing great with potty pads, she's playful, and she's independent enough that she could thrive as an only dog if that's the home she ends up in. Ask for a belly rub and she'll flop over before you finish the sentence. 🧠 Temperament
She's doing great with potty pads, she's playful, and she's independent enough that she could thrive as an only dog if that's the home she ends up in. Friendly, people-focused and famously food-motivated, which makes training straightforward.
🎾 Exercise
High needs — 60-90 minutes daily. Labs love retrieving and swimming, and an under-exercised Lab tends to get mouthy and destructive.
✂️ Grooming
Short double coat that sheds heavily year-round and more in spring and fall. Weekly brushing helps a lot.
🏙️ In an LA apartment
Can do well in an apartment if genuinely exercised. Size and shedding are the main constraints; most are elevator- and crowd-tolerant.
