This litter of puppies were another find in the orchards of Bakersfield where dog dumping in the middle of nowhere is a common practice. So many starve or get hit by cars. These 4 were extremely lucky. Despite the cruel beginnings they endured, they are happy go lucky playful pups with a great attitude and a gentle nature. They are in the 35 pound range at about 4 months of age. They will be a fantastic addition to any family wanting a lovely, fun and larger pup to add into their family. I think they will be between 60-70 pounds full grown. All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Our dogs are in foster homes which enables us to learn more about them in a home environment. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. 🧠 Temperament
Despite the cruel beginnings they endured, they are happy go lucky playful pups with a great attitude and a gentle nature. Calm, independent and gentle, bred to guard livestock alone for days.
🎾 Exercise
Low to moderate for their size — a couple of long relaxed walks. They are not endurance athletes.
✂️ Grooming
Enormous double coat that sheds constantly. Brush several times a week.
🏙️ In an LA apartment
Hard in an apartment mostly because of size, shedding and their instinct to bark at every noise. Individuals raised as city dogs can do fine — ask the foster.
