A NYC estimate for a dog this size and coat. Excludes the adoption fee and anything unexpected.
About 9 lbs now and still growing — this breed usually reaches 30–45 lbs.
Tweety is an adorable puppy. She loves to play her toys and chew on bones. She is gaining confidence with new people, experiences, and noises. Tweety is doing well on leash walks. She is sleeping in her crate and working on potty training. Tweety is approximately 0y 4m 5d old and may be 20 to 26 pounds when fully grown. They are microchipped and up to date on all age-appropriate medical care. Their breed is unknown as we have not had a DNA test done. Although our dogs are listed as unknown breed, buildings with specific dog restrictions typically enforce their rules based on what breeds a dog appears to resemble. It's always important to keep that in mind and know your building's policies before adopting a dog. This dog is available for adoption through Muddy Paws Rescue. If you're interested in adopting, the first thing you should do is begin the registration process at www.muddypawsrescue.org. If you are already a registered adopter with Muddy Paws Rescue, please email us at adoptionmeetings@muddypawsrescue.org.
This dog's breed isn't known, so here's general guidance for mixes.
🧠 Temperament
Every dog is an individual — temperament depends far more on this dog's history and personality than on breed. The rescue's write-up is the best guide.
🎾 Exercise
Tweety is doing well on leash walks. Most adult dogs do well with 30-60 minutes of walking a day plus play and sniffing time.
✂️ Grooming
Brush regularly, bathe as needed, keep nails trimmed and ears clean.
🏙️ In a NYC apartment
She is sleeping in her crate and working on potty training. Ask the rescue about leash manners, elevator and stair comfort, alone-time tolerance, and whether the dog settles in a small space.
