My name is Buffalo. I am a male, white Pomeranian and Poodle - Miniature. I have been at the shelter since Oct 23, 2026. HI, I'M BUFFALO! 1 Year Old • Pomeranian/Poodle Mix • Shy Little Fluffball Um... HELLO? Is anybody looking for a Buffalo? Because... SURPRISE! I'M RIGHT HERE! Hi! I'm Buffalo, a ridiculously adorable 1-year-old Pomeranian/Poodle mix, and before you ask... NO, I AM NOT AN ACTUAL BUFFALO. I know. The name is a little misleading. I'm significantly smaller, considerably fluffier, and MUCH less intimidating. ?? I'm a sweet little guy, but I'm also a bit shy! I'm still adjusting to my new surroundings, and sometimes I need a little time to figure out what's going on. I'M A SENSITIVE LITTLE GENTLEMAN, OKAY?! I came from a home with lots of other dogs, so I'm no stranger to having canine roommates! Would I mind having a doggy friend in my new home? NOT AT ALL! But would I also enjoy being someone's one and only, soaking up all the love and attention for myself? ALSO NOT AT ALL OPPOSED TO THAT ARRANGEMENT. I'm flexible! As long as my future family understands that I may need some patience, gentle encouragement, and time to settle in. No rushing me! No expecting me to be the life of the party on day one! Just a loving home where I can build my confidence and feel safe. I'm Buffalo. I'm little. I'm fluffy. I'm a bit shy. And I'm hoping to find a family who will love me exactly as I am while helping me come out of my shell. COME TO THE SHELTER, MEET ME, AND APPLY TO ADOPT ME TODAY! BIG NAME. LITTLE DOG. WHOLE LOT OF LOVE WAITING TO HAPPEN. Buffalo is neutered, dewormed, microchipped and is up to date with vaccines. His adoption fee is $650.00, plus $8.50 for the dog license if you are a resident of NYC. Buffalo will also get one free exam with one of our participating veterinarians within 30 days of his adoption. If you'd like to meet him please visit, we're conveniently located in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn near the F train (Ft Hamilton Pkwy) and the B16 bus. We're open daily for adoptions from 11am to 5:30pm. Buffalo can't wait to meet you! 🧠 Temperament
I'm a sweet little guy, but I'm also a bit shy!. Lively, bold and much bigger in attitude than in body.
🎾 Exercise
Low to moderate — a couple of short walks plus play.
✂️ Grooming
Thick double coat needs brushing several times a week to avoid mats.
🏙️ In a NYC apartment
Great size for a small apartment, but barking is the thing to work on early if you share walls.
