My name is Charlie. I am a male, tan Cocker Spaniel mix. I have been at the shelter since Nov 06, 2026. Meet Charlie, our 7 year old Cocker Spaniel mix! Stop by and spend time with him to see if he is the right match for you. Our experienced staff is available to talk with you, answer your questions and provide advice on how to transition him to your home. Charlie is neutered, dewormed, microchipped and is up to date with vaccines. His adoption fee is $650, plus $8.50 for the dog license if you are a resident of NYC. Charlie will also get one free exam with one of our participating veterinarians within 30 days of his adoption. If you'd like to meet him please visit, we're conveniently located in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn near the F train (Ft Hamilton Pkwy) and the B16 bus. Charlie can't wait to meet you! This dog's breed isn't known, so here's general guidance for mixes.
🧠 Temperament
Every dog is an individual — temperament depends far more on this dog's history and personality than on breed. The rescue's write-up is the best guide.
🎾 Exercise
Most adult dogs do well with 30-60 minutes of walking a day plus play and sniffing time.
✂️ Grooming
Brush regularly, bathe as needed, keep nails trimmed and ears clean.
🏙️ In a NYC apartment
Ask the rescue about leash manners, elevator and stair comfort, alone-time tolerance, and whether the dog settles in a small space.
