My name is Daisy. I am a female, black and white Labrador Retriever and Pit Bull Terrier. I have been at the shelter since Nov 06, 2026. Meet Daisy, our 6 year old Lab Mix! Stop by and spend time with her to see if she is the right match for you. Our experienced staff is available to talk with you, answer your questions and provide advice on how to transition her to your home. Daisy is spayed, dewormed, microchipped and is up to date with vaccines. Her adoption fee is $500.00, plus $8.50 for the dog license if you are a resident of NYC. Daisy will also get one free exam with one of our participating veterinarians within 30 days of her adoption. If you'd like to meet her please visit, we're conveniently located in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn near the F train (Ft Hamilton Pkwy) and the B16 bus. Daisy can't wait to meet you! 🧠 Temperament
Friendly, people-focused and famously food-motivated, which makes training straightforward. Labs stay adolescent longer than many breeds and are often goofy well past their second birthday.
🎾 Exercise
High needs — 60-90 minutes daily. Labs love retrieving and swimming, and an under-exercised Lab tends to get mouthy and destructive.
✂️ Grooming
Short double coat that sheds heavily year-round and more in spring and fall. Weekly brushing helps a lot.
🏙️ In a NYC apartment
Can do well in an apartment if genuinely exercised. Size and shedding are the main constraints; most are elevator- and crowd-tolerant.
