A NYC estimate for a dog this size and coat. Excludes the adoption fee and anything unexpected.

My name is Kimchi. I am a female, grey Catahoula Leopard Hound mix. I have been at the shelter since Aug 30, 2026. Hi, I’m Kimchi! I'm Kimchi, a 3-month-old Catahoula mix with confidence to spare and absolutely no plans to sit quietly on the sidelines of life. Why observe the action... WHEN YOU CAN BE THE ACTION? I'm super outgoing, enthusiastic, social, and ready to investigate whatever happens next. Nobody at the shelter expects me to become a gigantic dog—we suspect there may be something smaller mixed into my family tree—but exactly what that something is remains a mystery. Catahoula plus... Terrier? Something else? Tiny unidentified neighborhood gentleman? DAD, PLEASE COME FORWARD. Regardless of what's hiding in my DNA, one thing is obvious: I'm going to need a family who enjoys having a DOG. Not just an adorable puppy. A dog. That means training, boundaries, structure, continued socialization, and plenty of exciting exercise to keep both my body and my very enthusiastic little brain busy. I'm confident enough that I'm probably going to look at most new experiences and think: "Excellent. How do I get involved?" That's wonderful—but it's also why teaching me good manners while I'm young is so important. Right now, I'm a happy little ball of potential. Give me adventures. Give me things to learn. Give me appropriate ways to burn off my puppy energy. Give me structure so I don't decide that Kimchi Makes The Rules Now. And in return, you could end up with one absolutely incredible companion. She's got the confidence. She's got the enthusiasm. She's got the adorable face. Now Kimchi just needs someone willing to help turn all that potential into one heck of a dog. Kimchi is spayed, dewormed, microchipped and is up to date with vaccines. Her adoption fee is $650.00, plus $8.50 for the dog license if you are a resident of NYC. Kimchi will also get one free exam with one of our participating veterinarians within 30 days of her adoption. If you'd like to meet Lollipop please visit, we're conveniently located in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn near the F train (Ft Hamilton Pkwy) and the B16 bus and we're open daily for adoptions from 11am to 5:30pm Kimchi can't wait to meet you! Mixed / Unknown breed

This dog's breed isn't known, so here's general guidance for mixes.

🧠 Temperament

I'm super outgoing, enthusiastic, social, and ready to investigate whatever happens next. Every dog is an individual — temperament depends far more on this dog's history and personality than on breed.

🎾 Exercise

That means training, boundaries, structure, continued socialization, and plenty of exciting exercise to keep both my body and my very enthusiastic…. Most adult dogs do well with 30-60 minutes of walking a day plus play and sniffing time.

✂️ Grooming

Brush regularly, bathe as needed, keep nails trimmed and ears clean.

🏙️ In a NYC apartment

Ask the rescue about leash manners, elevator and stair comfort, alone-time tolerance, and whether the dog settles in a small space.
