My name is Samsung. I am a female, white Great Pyrenees mix. I have been at the shelter since Aug 21, 2026. Hi, I’m Samsung! I’m a 7-month-old Great Pyrenees pup with a gentle soul, a few very specific opinions, and absolutely no interest in rushing through life. Want to take me for a walk? Wonderful! Just don't have anywhere you need to be. I'm a slow-and-steady kind of girl. There's simply too much to experience! That bush needs sniffing. That leaf requires further investigation. What's happening over there? Hang on, I need to stare at it for a minute. Some dogs walk for exercise. I walk for the journey. I absolutely LOVE other dogs. I'm a pretty submissive girl, so if another dog comes on really strong, I can be a little shy at first. Overall, though, I thoroughly enjoy canine company. In fact, I'm so polite that if another dog decides they'd like to eat my dinner... I'll probably just let them. My future family may need to advocate for me a little there. Samsung, sweetheart, you are allowed to eat your own food. My foster family also discovered that I have a few other interesting quirks. Please don't touch my feet. I'm not going to get mad about it. I'm simply going to get up and leave because frankly, why are you playing with my toes? I also have some concerns regarding shiny floors. Suspicious. Slippery. Unnecessary. And then there are men wearing hats. Absolutely questionable. Take the hat off? OH! It's just a guy! Hello, new friend! But perhaps the most important discovery from my foster home was that I absolutely adored their pet pig. Yes. An actual pig. ?? Apparently Samsung and Pig Friendship Hour was very much a thing. We recognize that finding a NYC adopter who happens to have a pet pig may be a bit of a tall order, so please understand that pig ownership is not an adoption requirement. Just a fun bonus. Samsung is a wonderfully gentle, submissive young dog who would love a family willing to let her experience the world at her own pace. She'd likely enjoy having a friendly canine companion and will need people who continue building her confidence while appreciating all the funny little quirks that make her who she is. If you're looking for a dog who will remind you to slow down, sniff the flowers, question suspicious flooring, and never trust a man until you've seen him without his hat... Samsung may be your girl. Samsung is spayed, dewormed, microchipped and is up to date with vaccines. Her adoption fee is $500.00, plus $8.50 for the dog license if you are a resident of NYC. Samsung will also get one free exam with one of our participating veterinarians within 30 days of her adoption. Some dogs walk for exercise. Low to moderate for their size — a couple of long relaxed walks.

Enormous double coat that sheds constantly. Brush several times a week.
🏙️ In a NYC apartment
She'd likely enjoy having a friendly canine companion and will need people who continue building her confidence while appreciating all the funny…. Hard in an apartment mostly because of size, shedding and their instinct to bark at every noise.
