From West Coast sun to NYC lights—creamy, dreamy Angie is ready for her big-city debut! ✈️🗽 At just 2 years old and a tiny 8-pounds, this sweet Chihuahua mix is trading California beaches for the concrete jungle, and she needs a loving home (or foster!) ready to welcome her the moment she touches down. While we don’t know much about her life before entering care with our West Coast partners, one thing is certain: her brightest days are right ahead of her. Why you'll fall for Angie: Pocket-Sized & Portable: At a featherweight 8 lbs, she is the ultimate lap dog and compact city companion. A Fresh Start: Young, gentle, and full of potential, she's ready to soak up all the love her new life has to offer. Ready to Learn: Like many rescue pups adjusting to a new environment, she'll need a patient human to help her master house-training, leash walking, and basic city etiquette. Arrival Details: When: Friday, August 28th around 11:00 p.m. Where: JFK Airport The Handoff: Angie will be wheels up with her flight chaperone, ready for you to snag her right from her flight chaperone at the arrivals curb! No further information of photos of Angie are available; Angie is known to be dog/human-friendly. It's likely she will need some continued house, obedience and leash-training. Angie is available for our foster / foster-to-adopt program. Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, and bordetella, heartworm negative, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. To apply for Angie, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the dog is on our website, they are still available. Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable dog, or final size of any of our adoptable puppies. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the dog into our rescue. Adoptions: adopt@waggytailrescue.org

Chihuahua

🧠 Temperament

✈️🗽 At just 2 years old and a tiny 8-pounds, this sweet Chihuahua mix is trading California beaches for the concrete jungle, and she needs a loving…. Bold and deeply bonded to one or two people.

🎾 Exercise

We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. Low — short walks and indoor play are plenty.

✂️ Grooming

Easy for both smooth and long coats. Dental care is the real priority; small breeds are prone to tooth disease.

🏙️ In a NYC apartment

Ready to Learn: Like many rescue pups adjusting to a new environment, she'll need a patient human to help her master house-training, leash walking…. Extremely apartment-friendly and easy to carry on the subway.
