Meet Sport from the Land Rover litter, one of six puppies who came to us with their mom, Honor, after a family in El Cajon who couldn't keep them. Thanks to fosters, we were able to step in to help. He's about 12 weeks old now and weighs 8 pounds, and we're estimating he'll land somewhere around 25 to 30 pounds full grown, though that's a best guess. He's a possible lab / cocker spaniel mix, tan, with stubby little legs and half a stub of a tail that still finds a way to wag with full commitment. In his foster home he lives alongside two other dogs and a cat, and he's already figured out the pecking order, deferring to the cat without any drama while still getting his zoomies out with the dogs. He's cuddly at the end of the day and playful in the middle of it, and he hasn't missed a single pee pad since potty training started, sleeping straight through the night like he's been doing it for years. If you think Sport sounds like the right fit for your family, head to hitlivingfoundation.org/adopt to apply. :sparkles: Est DOB: 05/17/2026 Adoption Fee: $800
🧠 Temperament
Friendly, people-focused and famously food-motivated, which makes training straightforward. Labs stay adolescent longer than many breeds and are often goofy well past their second birthday.
🎾 Exercise
In his foster home he lives alongside two other dogs and a cat, and he's already figured out the pecking order, deferring to the cat without any…. High needs — 60-90 minutes daily.
✂️ Grooming
Short double coat that sheds heavily year-round and more in spring and fall. Weekly brushing helps a lot.
🏙️ In an LA apartment
He's cuddly at the end of the day and playful in the middle of it, and he hasn't missed a single pee pad since potty training started, sleeping…. Can do well in an apartment if genuinely exercised.
